Les Carroz is located in Le Grand Massif, only forty five minutes drive from Geneva. Combined with the other four resorts of Le Grand Massif ( Flaine, Morillon, Samoens, and Sixt), the area boasts 265km of pisted ski runs making this a key element in the 4th largest ski area in France. Not only does Les Carroz’s south facing location benefit from an abundance of sun, but its location between Mont Blanc and Lake Geneva ensures that it remains one of the most snow sure resorts in Europe.

Established in 1936 the resort is one of the oldest in the Alps. It manages to maintain the charm and tradition of a rustic village whilst also providing modern amenities to make it a popular winter and summer resort. The village itself is centred around a picturesque paved square of cafes, restaurants and bars.

The ski area is suitable for all ages and abilities, providing the easiest of green runs for beginners, acres of quiet motorway blue and red runs for intermediates and challenging blacks and off piste for experienced skiers. Numerous ski and guiding schools are based in Les Carroz and instruction can be tailored to the needs of each individual. More adventurous skiers may be tempted by the prospect of the Valley Blanche off piste route in nearby Chamonix or reverse heli skiing based in resort.
